DayPlanner is our answer to planner apps that ask for too much set-up. It is built around a single question: what am I doing today?
The challenge
Most people abandon planners in the first week because keeping them up to date feels like a second job. We wanted entering a task to take a few seconds and the day's plan to be readable at a glance, even on a small screen.
What we did
The home screen is the day itself, shown as a timeline. Tasks without a time sit in a simple list above it, and dragging one onto the timeline gives it a slot.
Adding a task is a single field that understands short phrases for time, so typing a call at 3 pm creates a timed entry without extra taps.
Everything is stored on the phone first, so the app opens instantly and works with no connection.
