What we do
Barel designs, builds and publishes mobile software. Our own apps, the DayPlanner productivity apps and the arcade game Ice Carve, are where we test our ideas about simple interfaces, offline-first storage and careful releases before bringing them to client projects.
We work in 12 programming languages because mobile products rarely stop at the app: there are widgets, native modules, backends, databases and release scripts, and each part is better written in the language suited to it.
