  • User: any person using the Website.
  • Consumer: a natural person using the Website for purposes not directly related to their business or profession.
  • Services: the electronic services described in section 3.

3. Services provided

Through the Website we provide, free of charge:

  • access to information about Barel, our skills, services and apps;
  • a contact form for sending enquiries to Barel;
  • an automatic email confirming that an enquiry was sent, with a copy of its content.

Descriptions of services on the Website are for information only. They are not an offer within the meaning of Article 66 of the Polish Civil Code, but an invitation to start talks. App development and related work are provided only under a separate written agreement. Timelines and pricing are quoted per project after a discovery call.

4. Technical requirements

To use the Website you need a device with internet access and a current version of a common web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. JavaScript is not required. To send an enquiry you also need an active email address.

Using any service over the internet carries risks, including malware, phishing and interception of unencrypted data. The Website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date. Barel will not ask you for passwords or payment card details by email.

5. Conclusion and termination of the agreement

The agreement for access to information on the Website is concluded when you open the Website and ends when you leave it. The agreement for the contact form service is concluded when you send the form and ends once the enquiry has been delivered and the confirmation sent. You may stop using the Services at any time without giving a reason and without cost.

When using the Website you must not:

  • provide content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes the rights of others;
  • provide another person's data without authorisation;

9. Availability and liability

We take care to keep the Website available and its information accurate, but breaks for maintenance or reasons beyond our control may occur. To the extent permitted by law, Barel is not liable for losses resulting from temporary unavailability of the Website or from decisions made solely on the basis of its general information. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or the statutory rights of Consumers.

10. Complaints

You can submit a complaint about the Services by email to [email protected] or by letter to our address. Please describe the issue and give an email address for our reply. We will respond within 14 days of receiving the complaint.

11. Information for Consumers

Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, including help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) and mediation or arbitration at the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). Information on these procedures is available on the website of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection at uokik.gov.pl. A natural person running a business who concludes an agreement not of a professional nature for them benefits from consumer protections to the extent provided by Polish law.

We may change these Terms for important reasons, such as a change in the law, a change in the Services or security requirements. Changes are published on this page with a new date and do not affect Services already provided.

These Terms are governed by Polish law. For Consumers, this choice does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence. Disputes with Users who are not Consumers are resolved by the court competent for Barel's registered office. Disputes with Consumers are resolved by the court competent under general rules.
